Hyderabad students stranded in Ukraine brought back; officials and Rajendranagar MLA receive the first batch at airport
The state government is in constant touch with Indian Embassy, Ukraine for locating and getting back the students still stranded in Ukraine.
The Telangana government made arrangements to bring back students from the war torn Ukraine by extending all facilities including free flight tickets. The state government is constantly in touch with External Affairs Ministry, GoI and making all efforts to bring back the students stranded in Ukraine safely.
To facilitate the students’ arrival from Ukraine, special control rooms are being set up in Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi and Telangana Secretariat at Hyderabad to pass on the information to the parents about the well being and arrivals of the students from Ukraine, the government said in a press release.
Rajendranagar MLA T. Prakash Goud and Principal Secretary (GAD) Political Vikas Raj received the first batch of 15 students at the Shamshabad Airport on Sunday. Students who arrived from Ukraine thanked the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for the efforts made by the government in bringing them back to the state safely. The state government is in constant touch with Indian Embassy in Ukraine for locating and getting back the students still stranded in Ukraine, it said.
The helplines at the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi and at the state secretariat in Hyderabad will help students and professionals from Telangana stranded in Ukraine, which is being attacked by Russia.
